Article: Honoring Indigenous Peoples' Day

Honoring Indigenous Peoples' Day

Ancestors

Family lore shared with me over the years led me to believe I am a mutt, a mix of many different cultures. According to Ancestry.com, I'm 1% Native American. (My maternal Grandma was right!)

Many of you already know that I spent 27 years during my annual vacation on the reservations in and around the Four Corners area, the beautiful land where the states of Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico come together.

In homage to my ancestors, my signature style has always been the combination of Native American accessories, such as my concho belts and storyteller bracelets, worn with haute bohemian clothing, and Famolare shoes. There are thousands of artisans in and around the Four Corners. I hope you will have the pleasure to meet them someday.

Bless you,

Victoria
